The joint team of police, Indian Army came under fire from hiding terrorists
The gunfight between terrorists and the search team ensued when the joint team of police and the Indian Army launched an operation on the basis of intelligence inputs regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. The team came under heavy fire when they zeroed in on the spot where terrorists were hiding.
The operation in the area comes just days after the forces killed two unidentified terrorists in Kulgam. On December 30, six terrorists, including two Pakistani nationals were neutralised in a gunbattle with the security forces.
